CRAZY SOCK DAY SATURDAY 18 MAY 2013

For a gold coin donation girls may wear crazy socks to play netball this Saturday. Money raised will go to The Kids' Cancer Project. Collection buckets will be going around the courts, so please help this great cause. Find those amazing crazy socks for the game this Saturday and help kids with cancer.

All Round 1 games to be played at Fred Finch Park, Berkeley: Nettas, Juniors, Intermediates, Cadets & Seniors. Team draws are available under Competitions.

NETBALL SUCCESS: JAIMIE WOODARD @ THE ILLAWARRA ACADEMY OF SPORT

Special congratulations to Jaimie Woodard who was selected to join the Illawarra Academy of Sport in 2012 in the U/17 netball category and received a fellowship. Definitely a great achievement for Jaimie who has not yet turned 15!
In 2011 Jaimie has played Intermediate A1 for Helensburgh and State Age for Illawarra, she has concurrently umpired and coached for our Club. Together with the Bam!, her Helensburgh team, Jaimie has made it the Semi-Finals of the Illawarra Championship, as well as won two regional carnivals in the Illawarra and Blue Mountains.
The Illawarra Academy of Sport provides opportunities and services for sport, talented athletes and coaches within the Southern Group of Councils area to achieve excellence. The Academy offers a "talented athletes program", which aims to help 14-18 years old athletes to develop and achieve at the highest level. The fellowship includes specialist coaching, speaking and presentation skills, health and nutrition, as well as travel to tournaments throughout NSW.
